Stephen Curry to speak at Liberty University’s convocation in March

Liberty University students were shocked in their convocation Wednesday morning when campus pastor, David Nasser, announced that NBA Player Stephen Curry would be joining them in March. Curry will be partnering with Kick’n It For Africa when coming to speak at Liberty University. Kick’n It For Africa collects shoes to donate to those of need in Africa.

Lynchburg Commonwealth’s Attorney says this term will be his last

After 11 years of being Lynchburg’s Attorney, Michael Doucette has decided not to run for another term. Counting his years as an assistant, Doucette has spent 33 years working in that office and has decided to seek new oppportunities in which he can continue serving Lynchburg. His term will end December 31, 2017.

Former Congressman Robert Hurt to lead LU’s new center for law and government

Liberty University has gained a new leader to their new center for Law and Government. Former Congressman Robert Hurt will be taking lead and is very excited to take part during “such a critical time in our nation’s history”. Hurt brings many first-hand experiences in this field since he has served in government-related jobs for over 16 years.
