This year I’d like to shine a light on a few of the NGOs doing amazing work that could use your support now more than ever. These organizations are empowering people, fighting for inclusion, and making the world a better place. 💜 Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.
- Rain City Rock Camp: Dedicated to building positive self-esteem in girls and encouraging creative expression through music. https://raincityrockcamp.org/
- Young Women Empowered: Y-WE empowers young women from diverse backgrounds to step up as leaders in their schools, communities and the world. We do this through intergenerational mentorship, intercultural collaboration, and creative programs that equip girls with the confidence, resiliency, and leadership skills needed to achieve their goals and improve their communities. http://youngwomenempowered.org/
- Alvin Ailey’s youth dance camp: a free youth dance camp, dancing toward justice. http://www.seattletimes.com/entertainment/dance/dancing-toward-justice-alvin-aileys-company-returns-to-seattle-and-brings-a-free-youth-dance-camp/
- ACLU of Washington state: For more than 80 years, the American Civil Liberties Union of Washington has been freedom’s watchdog in this state, challenging government abuse of rights and fighting for fairness in our laws and their enforcement. We will continue to stand strong as we pursue freedom, justice, and equality for all. https://aclu-wa.org/
There’s many, many more, but today these are a few I’d like to raise awareness for. What’s your favorite? Share below in the comments!
