Thanks John, great insights! I’ve tended to concentrate on where I think the largest pool of options is. I’ve always assumed that’s Tinder because it’s the original mainstream dating app.

I’ve tried other apps like Hinge and Bumble with limited success. Those apps tend to want to pigeonhole people and emphasize things like your job and school. When your background is like mine – diverse, formed in another country, not NYC traditional or conventional, it probably works against me on these apps. I end up looking too different, difficult to categorize and therefore I assume, less desirable.

But yours is an excellent point. Maybe it’s time for a rethink? Ride that adoption curve wave for influential desirables, as you say? 🌊😊🏄🏼
