The Crippling Fear of Medical Poverty

I agree, being unable to afford essentail medical care would be frightening. I am an Australian with a European background, and in both Europe and here in Australia, if you can’t afford and medication or procedure, the state pays for you. Three years ago a neighbour had a fall from a ladder and damaged his spine and hip. He needed several months in hospital, numerous surgeries and medication. Although an old age pensioner, it cost him nothing. It is surprising that America falls behind so many countries in this area.
