  1. I already addressed the media hyping up what is a minority in terms of actual population vs who truly believes. I notice you post a graphic but no links to the actual surveys (it appears to be 3 or more different surveyors over many years and nothing to talk about how many people actually responded to any of them — it does have a clear footnote that “neither/no opinion/don’t know” answers aren’t even shown in the chart. I strongly question this survey’s validity unless we can view the data and see how it was conducted openly and transparently. I have a strong background in statistics, and I distrust all media sources that hide their data. So — help me out if you want me to believe you are right and I am wrong. After all, I definitely want to know if im truly in the minority here in the south about this.
  2. Your conclusion doesn’t logically follow — in no way is it my responsibility to examine or be involved in how to spread the vision and ideals of Star Trek. I get paid to create IT systems and integrate them, not make film.
  3. I really love how they wrote Dr. McCoy’s character — he definitely comes across as a lot of Southern doctors I know (not remotely the majority, just the ones I know) — skeptical and human before technology.
