I must start using this platform to write…..love this. Last night, at Boy Scouts, kids taunted my son because he had painted toe nails. Mamma Bear’s heart broke. Why are kids so cruel? My son is a creative spirit, who runs barefoot everywhere he goes, who wears elf costumes to school. He’s UNIQUE and I cherish this. WE cherish this. We talked afterward and he was OK, but i could see that there were dings in his armor, a small glimmer of doubt (i.e. fear) in his big, brown eyes. I will continue to fan the flame of his individuality and fight hard against those who cannot or will not choose to understand. Thank you for your authentic and transparent spirit. It rocks.
