Things I’ve Thought About Doing While Hunkering Down During #snowzilla
The Mayor of the District of Columbia advised all residents to stay inside for 72 hours starting at 3pm on Friday. Here are the things I’ve thought about doing ever since the unofficial curfew went into effect:
- Get flashlight, candles, extra batteries ready in case power goes out.
- Charge electronics.
- Bake banana bread.
- Fill up bottles with water.
- Check batteries in carbon monoxide detector.
- Check batteries in fire alarm.
- Update my LinkedIn profile.
- Shovel every few hours.
- Read a challenging book.
- Take a watercolors 101 class online.
- Deep condition my hair.
- Clean apartment.
- Listen to records.
- Invite neighbors over for a beer.
- Watch shows on DVR/Netflix queue.
- Remove old nail polish from nails.
- KonMari my closet.
- Paint nails.
- Bake cookies.
- Take a long bath.
- Make snow ice cream.
- Go to the Star Wars themed snow ball fight.
- Organize tupperware drawer.
- Apply hydrating face mask.
- Bake peanut butter cookies.
- Go through digital photos and decide which ones to print out and frame.
- Listen to all of the podcasts in my podcast queue.
- Figure out Peach.
- Do laundry.
- Exercise.
Things I’ll Actually Do
- Check carbon monoxide detector and fire alarm.
- Update family in Minnesota on weather.
- Drink wine.
- Take several dozen pictures of my cat.
