Around the world
Being born in Albuquerque New Mexico, I have moved many times since then. Living in Italy, Tenessesse, Florida, Vermont, Montreal Quebec, Oklahoma and then to Chicago when I was 7. My dad has been apart of many jobs which all included hockey. First was the head coach of a handful of teams, then got hired to be the third assistant coach for the Chicago Blackhawks in 2010 but unfortunately was let go ten day into the job. Now he is the goalie coach for the Lake Forest College Women’s and Men’s hockey program, The hockey director for The Winter Club Of Lake Forest, a scout for the London Knights, and the Toronto Maple Leafs. If you have been apart of professional sports, you know there is a lot of traveling and moving which is what led to the handful of places I have lived all in 16 short years.

On Friday night at 9:00pm, Katie and I hung out and ordered pizza!

My dad inspires me because he is still involved in the thing he loves. Ever since he was three years old, my dad has been apart of hockey rather it playing for a team or coaching or scouting. He made sure he did what he had to do to stay with the sport and his passion. This inspires me to do everything possible to reach my goals.

This is my Grandfather who is 86, who came to Canada in 1954 from Italy and still works a full time job because he thinks it “makes him feel younger”. This inspires me to work hard at everything because no matter how old you are, you can do what you put your mind to.

This is my hockey trainer, he lives in Portland, Maine. When he was 13 years old, he wanted to start hockey when everyone told him it was a waste of his time since he won’t go anywhere since he started so late. Taking the criticism and using as a way to push himself. He got drafted to the Boston Bruins in 1990 then continued to play for the Ottawa Senators and the New York Islanders. The reason he inspires me so much is the way he looks on life and how no matter when you start something, as long has you have the motivation you can succeed.

A dream of mine is to play Divison three women’s hockey at Middlebury College in the NESCAC league. When I started playing at the age of 11, I knew I wanted to go to a school in Vermont and hopefully be able to continue playing hockey. I still am trying to reach this goal.

This picture reminds me of America because there is different people, and sometimes it isn’t accepted. But throughout the country, there is different groups of people, like religion, politics, and opinions. (https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/you-different-show-me-how-md-shihab-uddin)

In America, there have been major events where people don’t agree with, for example like presidential elections. But there is also major events where people have united like 911 tragedie.

I view America as a “safe” country. Because our military tries everything they can to keep us safe, and also when I think of America I immediately picture the military.
I chose this song because throughout the song it mentions how she wonders why they like different things and why certain things don’t get changed and why they ignore it. Which allows me to relate because I feel like with my parents and my friends I like different things but no one ever questions why.
