No, that is most certainly not what I meant ;) I meant, quite simply, that those who are successful at being poly understand how to enjoy the benefits of being both the spark-chaser AND the long-burner. The whole essay is basically an argument in favor of well-executed polyamory. The fact that I personally happen to be in a monogamous relationship right now has nothing to do with that.
