Rook
There’s a rook right there, calling out to someone or simply making noises out of nowhere. Will he be waiting for someone?
Wait, now he’s gone. It is a sunny day today, he was covering himself from the sun under a small plant. With global warming, upon us, the sun is as hot as it has ever been, and it will get hotter.
Maybe the rook was frying himself up and decided to leave, whatever reason he might have had, he gave no clue of his departure. Not even another noise of goodbye.
And that is how life is, with no hint at all, everything changes. While we are just “enjoying our time”, as I was enjoying the sight of the rook, he left unnoticed.
Other people might not have noticed him — because of the color of his feathers — yet I did. He inspired me to write today and I’m thankful for it.
He might just look at me as another human, not minding me at all. But I’d like to believe I made a difference to him, the same way he was for me.
I’d like to think I sent him “good vibes” in some crazy way, cannot really make sense out of it. My heart just felt it and for a moment everything was a bit changed.
I was different, and so he was.
We were life connecting to each other.
He wasn’t a very particular rook, and I’m a plain human, but in our own ways, we are unique.
And now, gotta get back to play being a human.
