Who are You?

That’s the question we hear when we meet someone for the first time, most likely when you open someone’s door with a thud!!! :P. But have you ever asked yourself who you are? A vague answer would be you are the person whom you wish to see in others. Well, it is just a point in a circle. There are infinite descriptions that can describe you. But those are just others opinions about you and not your definition. Its very easy to please people and make them tell good things about you. But that’s not the real you.

If you haven’t figured out what you want yet or who you are, there is a very simple thing I have tried. Sit in a very quiet place, take a piece of paper and( yeah a pen too :P) write about yourself. It can include your ambition, your fears, things that you don’t like about yourself, things that you like about yourself. Whatever it is, everything about you should be true. You are not going to publish it anywhere so just write. It is just a talk (a write up in fact )to yourself. Understand that you can develop yourself if you know yourself from the bottom.Once it is clear you can start your journey. And another important thing is to stop being a people -pleaser. It is like murdering yourself!!!!

It is you who define who you are. All the answers are within yourself. As Swami Vivekananda once said “ Talk to yourself once in a day otherwise you may miss meeting an excellent person in this world.” Be true to yourself and stay happy!!! :) :)
