Great courageous piece, and a genuine dilemma in the world we live in. I’ve had clients who clearly got more anxious when I admitted my own self-doubt, and I have learned that for everyone’s sake projecting more confidence is important. At the same time I appreciate that a lot of the confidence is BS and does no good personally or professionally.

Although I think this is not a gendered issue, the image in the article is the naked shoulders of a female which casts a decidedly gendered slant on the whole thing which is disappointing. Through this image vulnerability becomes both a female and a sexed up thing.
