First of all, feminists actually DO object to male and female circumcision, but since male circumcision is still performed and largely supported by men (most of whom have undergone that treatment), there’s nothing much women can do to stop it. What women can do, however, is support those circumcised women who are fighting to stop female circumcision.
So for male circumcision, in this case, yes, it’s up to men to begin the movement against it. Believe me that once men start the movement, many women will join in. This is your fight to begin against your own gender, which, arguably, should be easier than women fighting a tradition that men have put in place.
