Create Your Cybersecurity Roadmap

There’s TONS of information online to get started in cybersecurity, it’s overwhelming. Everyone swears the path they followed will work for you too. There’s no guarantee. This isn’t going to tell you specific things to learn to get into information security but provide you the tools needed to create your security roadmap.

Before we begin, please take a moment to read the following:
Understand what “understand” means — To understand does not mean you’ve seen it before or you’ve read it before.
To understand means you can explain it to a noob and apply the knowledge.

1. Map to CyberSeek, NICE, or your country’s equivalent.

These are a collection of tools that outline skills and knowledge needed for many information security roles. They’re an excellent way to stay on track.
