“The Patriot’s Path: A Soldier’s Unyielding Dream”
“Dad, after passing all the exams and fulfilling all the basic requirements, I have been successfully chosen as an army leader,” Jack said, his voice filled with exultation.
“I had been direly waiting for this great news to reach my ears,” Dad uttered, beaming with exuberance. “You finally achieved your dream after six arduous years of tough work,” he further added, broadening his shoulders as a sign of pride.
Jack was the only child of his parents. His father, a prosperous businessman, had always envisioned his son continuing the family legacy that had been passed down through generations. His father’s ambition was to ensure that the business remained within the family, perpetuating the success and values that had defined their enterprise for decades.
But Jack’s interest was to become an army leader. He was a patriot and had wanted to serve his country from a very young age. His unending love for his homeland banished all his shyness and transformed him into a resolute man, ready to face any challenge and even lay down his life for his nation. After numerous heated debates and lengthy discussions, his father finally recognized the depth of Jack’s passion. Realizing that his son’s determination was unwavering, he reluctantly relinquished his own dreams for Jack and gave him his full support.
Jack lived in Washington, D.C., where the army headquarters were located, but his family resided in Houston. After six complete years, when he was about to return to his hometown, a conflict erupted in Syria. When he informed his parents about his urgent deployment to Syria, the situation quickly became tense as his parents panicked. His mother and father expressed extreme disapproval. They were devastated by the news because they thought Jack was not yet ready for this. Jack endeavoured to placate them by saying that he needed their prayers, not their reluctance, as he was going on his first mission.
Jack, together with his team, reached Syria wearing armoured clothing and carrying weapons. Before engaging in battle, they vowed to each other that, no matter what happened, they would fight till the end and would not surrender. During the intense fighting, Jack and the other soldiers were severely injured, but they all fought with renewed vigour and ultimately emerged victorious.
When Jack returned to his hometown after such a long time, his father threw a party to warmly welcome him. In the yard, guests mingled under the glow of different lights. Jack greeted everyone personally, with utter respect and love, which was clearly visible in his demeanour.
It was a proud moment for the whole family, and all the guests were inspired by the strong personality he carried with pride.
At last, Jack delivered a speech conveying an important message to everyone. He emphasised that children’s dreams should be respected, and parents should support their aspirations. They should be allowed to achieve their dreams and their feelings and wishes should not be suppressed. He told the audience that holding children back from pursuing their passions is no less than killing their dreams.
