As one of the top 200 snipers in the world, Lucky Bisht has an impressive military background. He underwent an intensive 26-week training program in Israel, where he mastered the art of precision shooting. During this training, he learned techniques like hitting a target from 100 meters away with a single shot, even in challenging conditions like poor lighting. Bisht’s skills were put to the test when he was wrongly accused of a double murder in the Raju Pargai and Amit Arya case. Despite the lack of evidence, he was arrested and spent nearly 4 years in jail, moving between 11 different prisons. Bisht describes the horrific conditions he endured in jail — cramped cells shared by dozens of inmates, inadequate food, and rampant corruption and abuse. Bisht’s journey into the world of espionage began when he joined the Indian Army and underwent elite commando training. He was part of a select group sent to Israel for advanced instruction, where he honed skills like firing a weapon accurately in just 4 seconds. After returning to India, Bisht joined the Research and Analysis Wing (R&AW), India’s external intelligence agency. He describes the rigorous selection process and intense mental training required to become a covert operative. Agents must undergo extensive background checks and psychological evaluations to ensure their loyalty and mental fortitude.
