Sink or float

I and my son are doing a scientific experiment of dropping various things in a tub of water. Many sink and many float. My son tells me. The heaviest will sink and the lighter ones float. I smile. My son asks me what’s most important for you in life mumma. I tell him you my son. He says why is that so? I tell him you are My biggest source of joy that’s why you are most important . You keep me afloat in the sea of life.

I often keep on wondering why the human mind is unable to prioritise what’s important for them.why people sink ? What thoughts keep us afloat? Why we dwell so deep in misery which is caused because of external factors. Why instead of making them least important we engage in screwing our mind space because of the least important events people and things in our life. How we ourselves are responsible in making the negative around us much heavier and dragging us down in dark murky waters.

What’s most important in your life, what things? Which people? Which dreams of yours? Which path to follow? Which choices are most important? The importance of anything and everything is directly proportional to your mind’s perceptions of those things. What’s more or less important is subject to how much weightage you have given to it.

The weightage of anything is based on only one criteria, your choices should become a cause of joy in your life. These should be the reasons you stay afloat. You have to understand and comprehend that nothing or no one should be allowed to play with your head space in a negative way. What brings to you displeasure or makes you troubled should automatically sink to the bottom of important things in you list. What floats on top are the pleasurable things ,people ,thoughts, items. Why most often we live worried, frustrated, angered about our lives. Why we all live a discontented life, unhappy all the time about things and how we keep saying the most important things are missing. Stop missing what’s not available. Start enjoying what is at your disposal. Stop thinking life is unfair because it is it was it always will be. Not just to you but to each and every person on this planet. If we keep on making or giving importance to the missing pieces we will keep on fighting this futile war of trying to make this world a fair place. Start a new war today. Of thinking positive thoughts only , of fighting all negativity from your mind, a war of distancing yourself from anything or anyone who influences you in a negative manner, who steals away your peace, who causes you to sink

Reiterate to yourself what’s important to me depends on my own choices and I choose to make one thing most important. To be happy and to stay afloat always in the sea of life.
