The weeks that were…. I am writing this story after two weeks of Entrepreneurship class. I believe that these classes are the most output generating classes among all the classes that we have attended so far.In these classes , we were taught to overcome the schleph blindness for the startup ideas. I realized how this entrepreneurship class is making me move very systematically and easily towards implementing my startup idea plan and develop my project into stages and enjoy the little achievements in each stage.

The stage which we implemented this week for a start up idea is step 4

  • Step 1 — Write down the problem, not a specific solution
  • Step 2 — Determine if it’s a tier 1 problem or not.
  • Step 3 — Properly determine existing solutions.
  • Step 4 — Look for pain in existing solutions.
  • Step 5 — Verify there’s a budget for a solution.
  • Step 6 — Use those prospects to define your roadmap.

So, my mic’s lastsearch Bot version2 when pushed for production for the first time was not approved…. “was not approved”. So, the next step was to look for pain in the existing solution i.e the error I received when my bot got rejected. I got the following three errors :

  1. Your privacy policy URL is invalid… Resolved this through “free policy generator”
  2. App names with people or places are not allowed unless they also contain other words . Resolved this by changing the name of my bot from Ms. Last search to Mic’s lastsearch
  3. During our testing, we found that your app would sometimes leave the mic open for the user without any prompt. Make sure that your app always says something before leaving the mic open for the user, so that the user knows what they can say. This is particularly important when your app is first triggered. I resolved this by making changes in the intent settings.

After resolving these issues , I got my version 3 Mic’s lastsearch bot approved by google. The approval screen looks like this:

Apart from these highlights, this week we also focused on the next stage of startup idea i.e Step 4 and step 5.

So, we were introduced to the company Clootrack, It is a Kochi (Kerala) based start-up, founded in 2017 by two serial entrepreneurs with multiple successful exits. The link below helped me learn a bit more about the company. Please check this out : https://youtu.be/zq6FDww-y4o

The company has shown an exponential growth in the past quarters. This is a motivation for the budding entrepreneurs. The area I am focusing right now is getting some investors for my idea. I am looking forward to implement step 5 of the startup idea framework.Thank you. Hope you find it helpful.
