I want to practice speaking. Right now, I study 2 hours daily with my teacher. I’ve changed my teacher 3 times in 3 months. The first was REALLY shy! After that, the 2nd teacher was good, but afterwards she became lazy. Now, I’ve got a new teacher and hopefully he’s better than them!

It took me an age just to type all that, in Arabic. When I was learning Mandarin in Beijing, I was forced to speak it pretty much 24/7. I had around 4–6 hours of class a day, and I felt really motivated to study. Within 3 weeks, I was able to carry a conversation fairly well!

Do you speak Arabic, or Mandarin? And do you live in Dubai? If so, wanna have a coffee date?

I get really embarrassed speaking them both, but I need to get over that!
