I didn’t earn anything until my fourth semester as a university student. During a two-month summer holiday after my fourth semester, I decided to buy a birthday cake for my mother with my own money. To make some cash, I started writing college reviews, which earned me INR 600 ($7.08) — enough for a cake. Once I began earning, I kept going. I also started participating in online surveys and made over INR 4,000 in the last three months.
My biggest breakthrough came when I was selected for a part-time internship at Edufeat as a subject matter expert. Once, I would call my parents to share my struggles with insufficient funds. Now, whenever I feel demotivated, I look at my bank statements and see the fruits of my hard work. Since starting this journey, my earnings have soared, filling me with immense joy and gratitude for the opportunities that lie ahead.
I am now exploring how to earn from Medium, and I’ve already started to see some income, which feels great. As a college or university student, I highly recommend applying for internships — whether part-time or full-time — as they can be a significant source of income. Another option is to participate in online surveys. I’ve written an article on that topic, so be sure to check it out!
Engaging with Medium offers a valuable opportunity, and I am excited to begin this journey. While I recognize that I may not be able to forecast my exact earnings, I am committed to putting in my best effort. My aim is not only to generate income but also to make the most of the experience. I believe that achieving financial rewards is important, but cultivating a strong sense of accomplishment is equally vital. I'm ready to embrace this challenge and look forward to the growth and value it will bring to my writing journey.
