OnePlus 7 Pro, Samsung S10+ and iPhone XS Max — Three of the best smartphones currently, but one is hundreds of dollars cheaper than the other two.

When OnePlus announced its first phone in April 2014, it was a game changer. The OnePlus One priced at $299 was less than half the price of Samsung Galaxy S5 and iPhone 6, delivering a package that competed with the best at a fraction of the price. The company has come a long way since its debut. The OnePlus journey includes a lot of ups and downs, but one thing still remains true— it offers a high-end product at a lesser price than its competitors. But can the prices be cheaper?

On average, the price of OnePlus phones has increased by nearly 18% year-over-year, compared to an average of 8% increase for iPhones and a 6% increase for Samsung flagships.

Last week, the company announced its latest flagship, the OnePlus 7 Pro starting at $670. It looks and performs at par or better, but is considerably cheaper than the Samsung Galaxy S10 and iPhone XS, which are both priced at $1000.
