The Light Inside the Mountain
Inside the mountain, right down deep in the hollow hidden from the outside is a world where the light shines. You might imagine that a world in a mountain would be dark and dreary, filled with earth and dust, and maybe this is true of some mountains, but not the magic ones. “How do I know it’s a magic mountain?” you ask, well sometimes there is a glow, sometimes just a belief, a belief that what is not always seen is still there.
One of these mountains can be found on the line where the sun and the moon meet at dawn and at dusk, to softly kiss each other hello after long hours apart. This mountain stands strong, silhouetted against the light, its skin nobbly and yet soft. You wouldn’t know to look at it, but there is an energy you can feel when you are near it, of the people and creatures down below. Creatures not like you and I, but of their own making. Although like us they love and they play, they dance and they sing, in celebration and prayer to mother earth as she houses them and protects them. Welcoming the animals of the underground as they pass through, foxes, ants and all kinds.
But the light, where does the light inside come from… ahh the light, well not all lights are the same and their light is different from what you know; the warmth of the sun the heat of the fire. The light here comes from the pureness of the people, their love and truth. Each person who lives in the mountain beams their soul light within, filling the space around them, connecting to others until the whole of the mountain is filled with light and that when looking from the outside can make the ridges seem to glimmer. And when a person gets a little tired or weary and their light starts to dim another will sense this and will step into them, sharing their light charging each other and supporting each other.
And the crazy thing is that outside of the mountain we all have this light, it’s just not so obvious as we live in the light and we’ve forgotten to harness our own and push it out. But if you look inside, you have that light and if you focus on it you will beam, and if you open yourself to others you can sense their light and know when someone needs you to step in, to help them charge. It’s so simple as long as you remember to look, to feel, to care. #SashasStories
Disclaimer… the picture for this story is actually a volcano in Puebla, Mexico, Popocatepetl which I took last year, who’s light has become so strong it has since erupted several times!
