Appreciate your thoughtful essay but I strongly disagree. What I find most irritating about the Sanders campaign is that it completely disregards issues relating to women and children, and indeed culture-specific issues where Hillary covers them all. The idea that a woman could be president is signficant and not something to be thrown under the bus by Bernie supporters. There is no shame in wanting to see THAT KIND OF REVOLUTION. We are 50% of the population. That she is also someone who can actually work with our government instead of upending it is the best reason to vote for her. You guys — if you want a real revolution do what the Tea Party did: elect senators. Show up at the polls and put people in office you want your president to work with. Don’t try to put a president in there who can’t work with the current congress. Or take up arms against the government with guns and beheadings. Electing Bernie will be an exercize in frustration for all of you. It will be one “it’s not fair!” protest after another. Can’t you all just step aside, just this once, and let women have a chance at running things? JUST THIS ONCE??!!
