Following Lisbeth Salander

Once I went to Stockholm for a few days. In my usual manner I was exploring the city and taking pictures. The weather was quite cold and rainy as for the beginning of June, but it didn’t stop me from wandering around all the day long.

When I came back after my trip, full of new impressions and photos — I decided to compare what I’ve seen with the one of my favorite movies which events took place in Stockholm.

It was David Fincher’s “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” — psychological thriller film based on the novel of the same name by Swedish writer Stieg Larsson. As for me the movie was a proper adaptation of the great book, so it was nice to review it paying attention to the new details.

It was very exciting to discover that I had indeed visited places where the movie was shot. I dug into my photos and surprisingly found out that some of them were really made in the same places as the movie scenes.

The most amazing thing was that I had no intent to find any of those places during my visit, but I accidentally took pics in the same places even without knowing that.

Here are my findings with corresponding movie frames. Hope, you’ll enjoy!
