This really pushes my buttons. “Reporting a repair” is problematic in many, many respects. First of all that’s not the service. The service is “fix my window” and that may well not be the same service to the tenant as “fix my boiler” or “fix my dripping tap”.
And *why* do tenants have to report this? Why does the HA not already know. Or why have they not already replaced this item before it failed. Or why can’t I fix it (I know some HAs allow/encourage self fixing of some faults)? Or my neighbour?
Anyway. I agree totally with the thrust of this piece and I know you and I violently agree on these matters. So I apologise for picking up on one stray phrase…
