Coinmap Timeline

Lots of people are enjoying the World view feature that was introduced in 2.0 release of coinmap. And so are we!

We spent countless hours looking at this heat map, trying to make it better and at one point we thought: “if only there was a way how to animate it and see Bitcoin spreading in time”. Well guess what. This is possible now!

In the enhanced World view, you’ll see a timeline at the bottom. This timeline shows how many venues were added each week since the beginning of year 2013. When you click on the timeline, the heat map will update itself and take you back to that particular point in time. Clicking on the side arrows will move time one week backwards/forwards. Clicking on “Today” (near the right arrow) will take you to present time.
