The other day, I was talking to one of my coworkers and I have noticed that all we talk about is how we want to be successful at what we do. It was like seeing myself in the mirror. We both had the same goals. And the funny fact was that he’s success has a direct effect on mine and my success has a direct effect on his success.

That was my “AHA” moment, my precious Eureka effect. No things are more clear to me.

AHA moment — Help me to help you be more successful

When you look around, you will see many books or youtube videos with the subject of “I”. Have you noticed that? How much “I” is important? It’s all about me, myself and I.

Let’s look of some books or YouTube video’s titles:

How can “I” become a multimillionaire?

How can “I” manage my money?

How can “I” turn €1000 to 1 million dollars?

How can “I” be successful ?

How can “I” manage my tasks?

How can “I” be better at what “I” do?

It’s all me, me, me and me.

When you look carefully you will noticed that how much this way of marketing added to our selfishness and it made us more egocentric than we actually are. Have you ever find a book or YouTube video that said:

How can “you” help “others” to manage your tasks?

How can “you” help “others” to become successful?

How can “you” help “others” to become successful?

How can “you” help “your coworkers” to be bettar at what they do?

If you see such topics, I can assure you that you are not going to dedicate the time to learn that skill and read or watch that Video. Yes helping others is a skill. And for us it’s waste of time.

But please let me help you to see it different:

I think one thing that is not being considered by most of us in our selfish behavior is that in the game of life or business to be a winner you need to help others to win too. It’s a win-win game.

You can apply this rule everywhere you go, in life or at your workplace with your colleagues.

Hey! How can I help you to achieve your goal?

Ask yourself: how can I help my colleagues to be successful at what they doing? because I know if they are successful I can work better and I can be successful too.

Have you thought what will happen if you create this kind of relationship with your colleagues, how you both could help each other to grow and how you can make your working life better?

Exactly for these reasons I asked from my co workers: Hey! How can I help you to achieve your goal? Then we started the conversation and funny enough he automatically asked me the same question.

Remember that it’s a win-win game for all of us.

This rule applies also in business. There are many people in the world that they created huge businesses only on top of this simple rule.

You earn, I earn. You win, I win. So help me to help you to be a winner.

Be a player of win-win game — Let me help you to win.

Conclusion

Starting from today, try to help one of your colleagues to overcome one of the obstacles he’s facing in the workspace. Then see and analyze the results you will find you are happier, he’s happier and you can work better together. Remember, It’s a win-win game.
