Andrés, thank you for your response. I found it interesting to give you this unique picture of how i see things in terms of God between the east (arabs) and the west.
A story.
Once i had a conversation with a couple. He is a Texan cowboy, she is a phd scientist in biology. We had a good conversation. She said Islam is a beautiful religion. He was interrupting and saying that she is an athiest. What i observed is that many young people in the west are becoming either agnostics or athiests. But i found them getting closer to islam while departing from the inhereted religion. My explanation to this phenomenon is that religions worldwide are based on superstitious cermonials that does not give answers to the curiousity of human mind. Whereas islam is simple, creator and universe. Simple and clear. Created humans along with it came a solution catalogue and manual. A comprehensive law starting from the “fart” ending up with a full economic, social, political, and personal law.
From my own opservation, i think this trend we will be increasing in the next 2 decades.
Athiests, go for it. Things should make sense to be an intelligent human being.
I know that a portion of athiests reject all religions, but their main exposure is to christianity and buthism, which do not provide a thing to the curious mind. Exposure to islam is mainly thru tv channels that are politically motivated. Yet, with the emergence of the internet, monopoly on knowledge is no longer valid.
My best regards.
☺
