How to train your dragon

How to be calm? The mind is continuously running and we can’t stop it. The thoughts come and go and they are the ones eating up almost all energy of the body. Why are we tired? By doing much or by not doing much? And what’s this inertia? If laziness is bad why do we have it?

I asked the Buddha (The Active One)
Why do I get tired even if I am not doing much? No excessive exertion, no eating problems, no sleepless nights still…
He answered me quickly…
You are getting tired because of your thoughts. Be active, don’t be just Busy. You need to control the flow of thoughts. Don’t try to to stop them, it’s impossible, rather channelize them and then focus them on what you want. This way they will be tamed, trained to do the things. This is very similar to catching a wild animal and training him to serve you.
Sit calm for five minutes. Think that you are alone and you are very comfortable. Now breath-in and breath-out completely with a smile on your face. Go on doing it till you want to stop. Very soon you will find yourself very happy and calm. This way you also will feel energetic and ready to do the right things!

Yes! I need to sit and hold the harness of breath to control the mind and put it to the task that I want it to accomplish.
