Minimalism at Kumbh Mela

We are fond of collecting the things. Getting more and better continuously. Some day we find ourselves surrounded by so many things that we can’t decide if we want them or not. India is a country where you can see many Saints and Sadhus (Holy men). You will often find them carrying just couple of things and nothing else. They wander and remain happy.

I asked the Buddha (The Sophisticated One)
How can one be happy with so less? We live our life gathering the things and our happiness lies in getting them and keeping them.
He smiled and said,
You must have heard this, “Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication”. The simplicity lies in minimum numbers. More is clutter and simple is beautiful. When you are sure of keeping the things that you want and ready to give up on the things that you do not like or need anymore, then you become a Minimalist. This also refers to your thoughts in mind. You keep what you want and throw away what you feel is useless.

I started sorting my wardrobe and closets. My table and Bed. Icons on desktop, Apps, Widgets in Mobile and iPad too. I sorted the reading list and favorites in Browser. It feels so clean, so fresh as if I took a hot water shower.
