Thanks, Matt! I like the idea of defining what makes for bad art. It’s clearly different from trashy or mindless art, and has more to do with the intentions of its creators. I think bad art is art that intentionally sets out to make a specious argument, or looks to somehow pull the wool over the eyes of its audience.
