MY EXPERIENCE AS AN INTERN @ ISECURION

So it was like 2 months ago I decided to have my internship, generally people do it in between 7th -8th semester ,but I decide to step out of the line. Moreover I was pretty sure I wanted to work in InfoSec company and that passion attracted me to learn more and more in InfoSec.
At Isecurion I got to work with Veerababu the IOT expert and reverse engineer, Prakash Dhatti the web application security engineer and Aditya Soni our compliance manager .I had a chance to learn from all of them ,a chance which I made sure doesn’t get wasted .
I think that the best part of my internship is the culture in isecurion people work hard, but don’t forget to enjoy themselves during the process. Some of my more memorable moments happened outside of the office.
It was a wonderful experience while working with so many energetic people. I had worked on various topics such as cross — site scripting, sql injection, clickjacking, cross site request forgery, LFI, RFI and tools such has beef exploitation framework, Kali linux & burp suite etc.
I felt that an internship at isecurion was a great platform for me to gain deeper insights into the information security industry.
So from this little bit of experience I have on this topic there are a few things for the people who are looking for an internship in InfoSec –
1. Choose your area of interest — well there are a lot of domains in InfoSec so you need to be wise choosing your area of interest
2. Try to find InfoSec community — well involving in InfoSec community will surely increase your network and your skills and will lend you to something good. There are community like G4H, NULL, and OWASP you could go for.
3. Team — This one is the most important part, the people you work with will be the largest factor in how much you end up learning.
I was the stupidest person in the office because of which I got to learn a lot from everyone around me.
So I suppose everyone should do an internship in there academic career to get the actual real world experience. To be frank the stuffs I have learned here in one month would have took me 6 months or more if I would try to learn it by myself .
I would also like to thank Manjunath sir and Prashant kv sir for giving me this opportunity to learn and explore more of the InfoSec community.
