100 Collage Journey

Long story short I dodged a bullet earlier this week. It had been a rough week at work to say the least.

I decided to go by the Dead Sea Gallery to see my friend Alex. I loaded up my messenger bag with eight 6x6 collages I’d made on mixed media panels that were cheap.

We sat on the couch and I listened to Alex critique each piece. He said, “hey Michael I’ve got an idea!” Alex proceeded to ask me, “How about doing 100 collages and we have a show here at Dead Sea of your work? We’d have a party and music too.” I took a deep breath and said “YES!”

That night after I left Dead Sea I proceeded to do the math on materials. Alex said “You need to stick to making them look other-worldly like these initial 8. I want to see every 12 or so to see how you are progressing.” I decided to keep a journal of the whole process too. Stay tuned….
