In June 2013, I quit a job that was destroying me and I realised that I had restricted my chances. I had gotten on the train, as I was in need of money, but it ended heading to a place that wasn’t for me. Soon after quitting I started to plant seeds, helping out at different charities — from making cakes, pizza to befriending. That summer I started volunteering at a mental health charity, unsure where the train would lead (I’m mixing analogies but one day with 3D printing, may be trains will be grown!). Now I’m happy. I don’t know how things might turn out, but I know what it feels like to be connected, to work in teams with the same goals. I have a better idea of what work I like to do, which people I like to work with and how I want to earn my money and live my life.
