JTC373: Feature Stories/Articles

There are three types of features to write. One is “soft” stories which promotes ideas important to the client. The second type is “exclusive” stories which offer to a single media outlet as a story idea. The third type is a “non-exclusive basis” which is provided to journalist, bloggers, newsletter editors and more to be used as a “as-is” or to adapt.

To have a effective feature there a few topic ideas which include but not limited to: how to’s, behind-the-scenes, history, seasonal tie-ins, personality profiles, travel destinations, case studies, and human interest.

To promote the feature you can distribute to media outlets, you can post ona website which will help direct online traffic based on SEO, you can also post on article directories with a hyperlink.

Promoting feature article/stories can also be known as article marketing.
