The team arrived in Manta wednesday morning. They were welcomed to the Aray family´s house were they have set up their Manabi headquarters. They met with the Manta director of tourism which is now in charge of helping the victims in Manta along with the Ministry of National Health.

They immediately went to the local hospital were they met with Dr. Johny Cedeño who is the head director of Manta´s hospitals. The hospital was in bad shape so it had to be shut down and the victims were beign treated in the parking lot. Dr. Robert Fuller and the team scanned the area looking for urgent needs and they later took off to other medical center who were in more critical conditions.

After helping for a while, they went back to the headquarters in order to welcome the truck coming from Guayaquil. Thanks to the generous people of Guayaquil the truck was filled with donations needed by the team such as medicine, funds, clothes, equipment to build local camps, and much more.

This morning the team split in two groups. Dr. Fuller, Ramon, Gustavo, and Francisco headed to look for areas in need of immediate help and to spend the day there. The other group stayed in Manta, were they are helping at the parking lot of the local hospital by setting up tents and attending those injured.
