Life in the day of ...

I smile from the cellphone camera

I cry on YouTube videos

I celebrate from Facebook live

I converse from Skype, Zoom and Snapchat babe

I like to be liked

I hate to be missed in a newsfeed

I poke at you for fun

I block you if you dare to poke back

Hundreds of friend requests are my stance

Stalking profiles is my time pass

My life revolves around six emotions

Fool you are, if Shadripu is on your mind

I want people to ping me but not disturb me

When friends want to call, I ask them to text

When family want to meet, I spent the whole two long minutes on a call

Virtual world and I are meant for each other

Horoscope confirmed this match even better

Years later, I realized

Glass screen had a better protector than my life

Unfriend and unfollow alerts have higher reflex than me

I swiped my life left instead of right

Home button never sent anyone home

Something slipped through my fingers

I heard big cracking sound on the floor

Not about the cell phone, my life it is

The thought of no warranty flashed on me

The shock was no less than dying battery with last drop of the red line

It was too late to replace or repair

The mind was debating between recycling bin and trash can

To make those last moments worthy

Ouch, version upgrade popped up unexpectedly

As usual, blacked out everything without my permit

I was labeled as a legacy system and retired

Twitter celebrated hashtagging my death

My life purpose is now served! 😊
