Lots of labels and boxes, everything explained in quotable soundbites. That’s what this post has in common with the Trump campaign (and black and white christian type mentality but that’s another day).
Problem is that it isn’t fascism, really. It’s just something that isn’t our thing, so we give it the worst label we can think of because that’s a good way to…. I don’t know what that is, it’s not our thing.
Already Trump says “well, a fence is a kinda like a wall, and we’ve already got that”, “not all of Obamacare, just, well, I’ll get back on that”. And now he doesn’t make those odd hand gestures when he talks. Sorry, but without the hand gestures and the rants, it just isn’t a Fascist Dictator.
As best I can recall, republicans do this when they’re losing, they get nasty in campaign, but mainly in the campaign not in the real job. Granted the House and Senate combination makes it more scary but not all the Reds are fully on board and the mid-terms will be here before you know it.
