As we all know, by using fossil fuels, we have made life safer and healthier for billions of people around the world. Wherever fossil fuels are in wide use, people live longer healthier lives — Because fossil fuels enable us to protect ourselves from the brutality of Nature. We can build residential structures that we can cool in summer and heat in winter. We can grow food, and we can engage in productive work — all thanks to abundant and low-cost fossil fuels.

On the other hand, people in sub-Sahara nations endure lives that are, as they say, nasty, brutish and short. Why? Almost no fossil fuels. The suffer with terrible housing, little food, and disease-carrying water.

Anyway, as we all understand, no nation is going to end its consumption of fossil fuels. And none of the fossil-fuel-producing nations will end their production. It’s really that simple.
