Merry go round

They flaunt their powers, they flaunt their wins

They rant from their towers, they revel in their sins

They think they have the world at their feet

Why not, they have many eager to join their fleet

Of fools like them, there is no dearth

Who before them, did walk this earth

Who thought they would leave a lasting legacy

By subjecting the world to their incessant lunacy

It’s a strange dance, of right and wrong

How many times has history sung this song

Though the cast changes, it’s the same play

Eternal as time, predictable as night and day

The search for the hero begins in earnest

For the one who will lead us out of this tempest

It’s the cycle of life, watch it go round and round

One moment soaring to the sky, the next falling to the ground

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
