Judy, thank you for your response. Sites like the one at propublica can be helpful in a lot of respects. Most would look at the complication rate; I would preferentially look at the number of procedures that are being done by the individual physician. I searched my local area and the hospitals that I work with and I was impressed at the number of procedures that were done by some of the surgeons.
