The power of choice, we overcome! and we recieve God’s gifts to us.

God has given us the power of free will. He has given us the power to make decisions for our selves. We make the decision to walk in the spirit, and let the spirit lead us as we make our way through life. We make the decision to step into the promised land and seize our possesions.

How do we step into the promised land? By asking the Lord Jesus Christ to come into our hearts and save us and by living our lives according to the truth of the gospel. Whatever we ask for he will give to us, and he will heap countless more blessings upon our lives even without us asking. The promised land is not a physical place but it is a spiritual place, as we find this place in our feeling of wholeness in our relationship with Jesus Christ, we will also find this place when this life has passed away and we bask in his ever beaming glory for all eternity.

The world around us changes in many aspects, our cities grow and evolve, technology evolves, people grow and change but the truth of the Lord will never change. Facts change but the truth doesnt.

Each one of us makes a choice on our own, yes we’ve heard from others and we’ve been influenced to follow the truth but the ultimate choice is ours. Therefore we cannot pray for someone to have faith in God, it is a choice and God does not force anyone to believe in him. He has given us the power to make our own choices and the authority to speak favour and healing over our lives.

We might be going through a difficult time today, let us surrender all to the Lord. Whatever stressful situation you are going through God will use it to make you stronger. Know that when Christ is for you, no one can be against you.

Luke 10 vs 19. Behold I give to you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

My mum always says in my vernacular language (translation below) Mulungu anamukonzela aliyense phukusi lake. Ngati uli ndi moyo ukudya chakudya, ukupita ku sukulu etc zonsezo zimachokela pa phukusi lako. Ngati wadwala sikuti phukusi silikugwira ntchito ayi likugwirabe ntchito. Ukakhumudwa mulungu amakhala ali pompo kukusisita. Phukusi la munthu limatha pamene munthu wachoka pa dziko la pansi, koma ngati uli ndi moyo mulungu phukusi lako wakusungila.

God has set aside a gift basket (gift basket:referring to blessings and good things in store for us) for each one of us. As long as you are alive you can eat, go to school etc then all these things come from that gift basket. Even when your sick, it doesn’t mean God has stopped pulling things for you from that gift basket, hes always at work preparing great things and blessings for your life, some blessings which we might overlook at times like life itself. The gift basket becomes empty the day one leaves this earth, but as long as you are alive God still has that gift basket full of blessings and great things for your life.

God has great things planned for your life. You are highly blessed and favored and God is preparing you for your next calling. Remember the best is yet to come. Seize your possesions in Jesus name!
