Hi. I work at an IT company and consider myself a “User” of PCs although not an expert. But I quite happily was reading & enjoying your new Fusion NZ news site, which appeared to take over from the Channel 3 News site. Until I got taken in by your sponsored content advertising for “free movie site”. As a news presenter site some integrity is expected and most readers take your site as a trusted source. But when you (Fusion)advertise & have prominently presented sponsored content which leads the reader into a scam, then YOUR News & INTEGRITY reputation is NIL. I went into the advertisement, signed up with my credit card. Once I got into the site, I realized the movies were all bunk, ancient and of debatable sexual & viewing character. Then I tried to close the movie account at the end of the trial, but that is made impossible by your sponsored contents changing the name of their website, several ways. So I deleted your news website. Reinstalled it, so I could look up the scam website on your news site. After flipping through your news site just now, I can no longer find that scammer web site, so you may have deleted it.
So I tried again to cancel the movie web site on line with no luck. Now I have a charge from cinapalace on my credit card & I have never watched a movie from them. Since I cannot get the movie website to cancel my account, I contacted my credit card bank. Banks no longer will handle a single supplier problem but suggest, just get a new card number. If you have any conflict with a supplier, solution is a new credit card number. So I can cancel my card, get a new number & then YOUR scammer advertiser cannot put through any more invoices. This is a very unsatisfactory.
But, I am just wondering how many Kiwis your sponsored content scammers have scammed other kiwis?
I eagerly await a response from you. Kiwis are a trusting bunch & I really resent a news site so blatantly steal money from unsuspecting Kiwis.
Please respond, or I may go public.
Cheers, Susie
