And it would be an incredibly poor use of resources for very little pay-off.
Even if it were technically and politically feasible (huge ifs), by the time they would have replaced enough older cars to save enough lives to even begin to justify the resources, the streets will be flooded with Uber Self™ vehicles and the average person will have no need to even own a car.
It’s a pretty ridiculous idea!
