Imagine a car that cannot be started if it unobtrusively detects that the driver is intoxicated
Who’s paying for a car that doesn’t let them use it? Who’s funding the research and development for such a feature?
You can imagine all the pointless unworkable features you want, but get out of the way of progress unless you have something to say besides “Does that sound ridiculous to you?”.
Arguing to keep the status quo of 1 million+ deaths/year with appeals to emotion would suggest you’re the one who has lost his mind.
