Part 7: Deliberation

Natasha walked through the lobby of the hotel. She wanted to get back to her room as soon as possible. If she was going to kill her sister, she would need to hurry and figure out her next moves. Killing her sister would be no easy task because, if she knew Sasha as well as she thought she did, then she knew that Sasha found the coin and is preparing for war.

As Natasha approached the elevator she thought about Bash’s hands on her shoulders, and how much she missed him. Ever since she killed his best friend, she knew she was dead to Bash, but she had no choice. She needed to talk to him, but the conversation they had at the bar told her that talking was not an option now.

Tasha exited the elevator and strolled down the hallway to her suite. So many things were running through her mind as she opened the door and headed to her laptop on the bed. She opened the computer and began to do an internet search on her sister. Tasha was curious to know more about her sister’s life. She began to search her sister’s business with her husband Rob. Tasha knew Sasha had gotten married a few years back, but she had never met her new brother-in-law. She found the website of the insurance company and the location. Maybe Sasha would go to work at some point within the next few days?

After a while, searching for information about her sister became boring because there was nothing to find on the internet. She had to admit to herself that Sasha was pretty good at keeping most of her life a secret. However, she had one job to do, so she needed to know what kind of person she would be putting herself in front of now, if Tasha knew anything about Sasha, she knew that her sister was a ruthless killer if she needed to be.

Tasha closed her computer and collapsed into the pillows surrounding her on the bed. All the research she had done made her feel mentally exhausted. She pulled the soft, white covers over her head and relaxed. A few minutes passed and suddenly the sound of her phone ringing on the bedside table startled her out of relaxation. The ringing was coming from her work phone, so she hurriedly reached to her left and answered it on the third ring.

When Tasha answered the phone the deep voice on the other end began talking to her immediately, giving her instructions and asking for an update on her assignment.

“You need to be done with this by Saturday. The new shipment is coming in and we don’t need anything or anyone getting in the way.” Said the voice on the other end.

Tasha responded, “Okay, I have a tough target, but it will get done.”

“What? All of a sudden you’re having a hard time killing your sister? I don’t care how tough it is! You have four days left.” Said the voice on the other end of the phone.

Tasha winced at the venom in his voice. She was scared.

“You know the price. If I don’t get my money and if she gets in the way, then you will pay me with your life.” The voice was done talking and the phone clicked off.

“He is really determined to get rid of her.” Tasha thought to herself. After a few moments of silence and thinking, her phone rang. This time it was her personal cell. Only a few people had the number. She looked at the screen and saw the private caller I.D. Tasha answered the phone and put it to her ear. This time a very distinct voice spoke over the phone.

“Tasha, why are you trying to kill Sasha? Come to the estate NOW.” Her father, Al, hung up the phone.

She knew she was in deep trouble now. How was she going to explain to her father that she had been threatened to kill Sasha or her whole family would die? Her father’s enemy was on their doorstep, she needed to think of a plan fast.
