JavaScript Fatigue: An Alternative Perspective

Babel is certainly an impressive accomplishment, but it’s a little troubling to see code transformations becoming so widely used.

Similarly, it’s troubling to see so many using it to adopt language features that haven’t yet been standardized.

As a web developer, I’ve grown accustomed to embracing and accepting changes as they come along. However, with this iteration, I feel like I’m being pressured to _uncritically_ accept the latest trends, and dismiss any concerns about stability, compatibility, or sustainability.
