How NPR Softened My Conservative Christian Heart

When the youngest of my four children went to school, I regained control of the mini-van radio. Instead of asking my kids what do you want to listen to? I could now ask myself what do I want to listen to?

The trouble was I didn’t know. I was itching for something new. I had already listened to all of my CDs and cassettes a billion times (yes, cassettes. My mini-van is that old.). I didn’t really have money for new CDs or digital music and I wouldn’t even know who to listen to anyway.
