It wasn’t long ago when the followers and cricket pundits were discussing how India lacked an all format fast bowler who could steam in and bowl fearlessly, and no one knew the answer would have been Jasprit Bumrah.

Bumrah made his IPL debut in 2013, and since then he has been the talk of the town. With his unconventional bowling action, many pundits even dismissed his bowling prowess and pointed out how he would be prone to serious injuries in the future. However, Bumrah had different plans and he started to ace every format he was part of. Starting from his ODI debut in Australia, where he scalped the main wicket of Steven Smith on his debut, Bumrah set the tone for his cricketing career and the much anticipated Test debut came in the year 2018 against South Africa at Newlands.

And since then Bumrah has gone from strength to strength, it was like a fish in water, Bumrah would dominate in any condition and in any format, he just needed a ball in his hand to show his skills and get the opposition batters out. His aggressive bowling combined with strategical planning has reaped him amazing records in all formats. Even to the extent that he became the fastest Indian to reach the 150 wicket mark in Test matches, truly an amazing feat, which the bowler achieved in a meagre 34 Test matches. Bumrah achieved this feat by scalping six wickets against England in the ongoing test match.

The journey for Jaspirt Bumrah wasn’t easy and he had his share of injuries and time away from cricket which resulted in a lot of backlash and trolls from the outside world. However, Bumrah’s determination and zeal to improve and prove his worth in the team has taken away the critics and trolls by storm and the bowler has shown again to the world that he will go down as one of the best seam bowlers for India.
