[This is a continuation of the March 2017 trip — see summary here.]

After a long drive from Glasgow to Campbeltown, I was ready for Glen Scotia. The tour I chose was “Manager’s Tour & Tasting”, hosted by Iain McAllister, the distillery manager. It turned out to be a very wise choice!

Glen Scotia Distillery, here I come!
The first warehouse tasting was a 2001 vintage ex-bourbon cask. Look at the color!
1989 cask 316 followed. Love the color!
2009 Cask 117. Best of the lot — for me!
Very young — 2013 cask — but excellent!
Had a terrific time at Glen Scotia!
Iain was a wonderful host!

At the shop I tried Distillers Edition Stillman’s Reserve, which was absolutely brilliant! Also tasted Cask 4 bottled in December 2016, which was quite good as well.

Glen Scotia felt like a hidden gem, very well worth the visit. Thanks Iain and Glen Scotia!
